Enjoying her swing. Tim Groff from the Burkeland congregation preached a good message Sunday morning on "Keeping the Vision".  After church we came home to dinner of Swiss chicken, herbed rice, and elegant green beans.  We rested for a while then I took the children on a walk.  It was too hot to walk for long so we soon came back.  In the evening we were invited to Chad & Kendra Brubakers for super.  Leon Dueck's, Joel Ockers and Ashley Sanders were also there.  A delicious supper of homemade pizza, jello and pie and enjoyable fellowship afterward.
Nurseries Caroliniana Monday was our 7'th anniversary.  Three children, a dog and two cats.  Life doesn't get much better than this!    I went on into work at the normal time.  Ina started on the wash.  Hendrick has two friends from NY staying at his house this week and they came over and visited with Ina Sue for a while in the morning.  I was over my projected weight goal this morning when I stepped on the scales so I had to fast all day.  After I got home from work I planted our fall garden with broccoli, cabbage, kale, spinach and collard greens.  Ina Sue spent much of the evening sewing.
Anniversary supper at Villa Europa. We all slept in a bit on Tuesday.  I went in to work at 8:00.  Ina Sue finished up the dress she had been working on but had some real frustrations with it.  I certainly don't see any problems with it but she is pretty particular.  She said that Landon was a grouch all day.  We are hoping that he grows out of his grouchiness or that it is just a temporary phase with his molars coming in...  For supper Ina Sue fixed us meat loaf, riced potatoes, and green beans.  I ate a quick supper then went back in to the shop to work for a couple of hours.  I want to get things caught up so I can take off tomorrow.
Our two princesses. I stayed home all day on Wednesday.  Ina Sue made us french toast for breakfast then we went out and she gave us men our hair cuts.  I planted some more collards and took the trash over to the dump while Ina Sue got the house straightened and the children ready.  We were sorta celebrating our anniversary today.  We dropped the two oldest children off with Bethany Heatwole at 12:30 and drove up to Williston for me to do a quick service call.
Paschal & Grace "do" Carolina's hair. Then on over to North Augusta where we went to Nurseries Caroliniana.  It was a really nice plant nursery that my brother had told me about.  They had loads of unique plants and very helpful salespeople.  We bought a Ginko tree for Savannah and some new shrubbery for our front. to replace some azaleas that didn't do well.  We spent about 2 1/2 hrs there then headed on over to Augusta for an hour or so of shopping at the mall.  Then we went to the "Villa Europa" restaurant for our anniversary supper.  It was a German/Italian/American restaurant.  The atmosphere was not all that great but the food was delicious.  I had a wonderful dish of beef rouladen while Ina Sue had a chicken cordon bleu.  After supper we made a quick trip to Walmart for essentials then home to pick up the children and go to bed.
Grace made friends with the children. Thursday I went in to work for a regular day of work.  Ina Sue had a back appointment in the afternoon.  She and the children drove in to Barnwell and I met them at Dr. Greene's.  I took the children in the van to McDonalds for a small supper and to play on the playground equipment.  From there we drove on home.  When Ina Sue was done with the doctor she made a grocery run to Reids then came home as well.
Our friend Hendrick. We had baked oatmeal and fruit slush for breakfast on Friday.  I had a busy day at work with service calls (aren't they all....)  In the evening we had Hendrick and his two friends over for supper and the evening.  Ina Sue fixed us sweet & sour chicken over rice, salad and brownies with ice cream for dessert.  We had a really nice time visiting together and the children really enjoyed playing with Pachal & Grace.
Carolina makes like a monkey I had to work on Saturday.  Thankfully we have been closing the store at 3:00 so it wasn't too long a day and I still had time to mow the yard when I got home.  Ina Sue spent the day cleaning and getting our Quicken caught up.  After dark we relaxed and played with the children.  Hard to believe another week has already slipped by...
